A sustainably-grown fiber, bamboo is blended with rayon to create a supremely soft fabric that drapes beautifully and feels even better. It’s considered the most sustainable bamboo rayon available, produced in a closed loop system where the effluents are 100% recycled, it is considered more sustainable than organic cotton and produced with far less water.

The Origin story of Annabella’s signature Big Magic design

On November 9, 2016 the day after Trump was elected it was a glorious fall day in Minneapolis. I laid out a huge tarp on our driveway, brought out a huge selection of vibrant dyes, I selected a great playlist of songs that made my feel like dancing and made my heart light-up. I chose to unplug from the media and not get hooked into the news-cycle - I knew what I needed was to explore color in a way I never had before. In my gut, I knew we were potentially entering the dark ages and the world would need more color, not less.

When I introduced this design and palette it was clear to me that I was not alone in needing color therapy. People would come into my booth at the Mill City Farmers Market and say, “what is the happiest thing you have?” Before I could open my mouth and form a response, their eyes would land on what became known as the Big Magic scarf, my signature design, and what would soon become one of my best sellers.

Now nearly 9 years later, my Big Magic philosophy is rooted in radical hospitality. Each day we have a choice, we can choose our attitude. The world is going to continue to be a dynamic place to navigate - but each day we get to choose how we show up and our attitude. As an Artist I am often in a public facing role, interacting/connecting with hundreds of people in a short space of time. I see this as an opportunity to connect - there is magic in kismet human connections.
