INDIGO + SHIBORI WORKSHOP

Come dip into the magical world of indigo and shibori and create a one-of-a-kind market tote, set of tea towels, and a project you bring from home that you will have the opportunity to dye with indigo!

In this workshop you will learn how to make a natural indigo vat + a handful of traditional and contemporary shibori techniques. (Shibori is the ancient Japanese form of resist dyeing that creates beautiful designs and patterns).

Workshop projects include:
* An organic cotton market tote

* A set of tea towels
* A linen bookmark naturally dyed with indigo
* A piece you bring from home to over-dye with natural indigo
* Indigo string that can be used for macrame, wrapping gifts or craft projects.

* Hand-outs with an organic indigo recipe, best practices, care instructions, shibori techniques and resources.

Note: this workshop will be taught outside in a spacious environment, rain or shine. You are required to wear a mask during the workshop. We will be conscious to practice social distancing while sharing space with one another. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out.

I hope you can join us for this hands-on experience!
