Foraged Local Color Workshop / Buckthorn

  • Textile Center 3000 University Ave SE Minneapolis, MN 55414 United States (map)

Buckthorn is an invasive species to this bioregion, and it’s abundant. Learn techniques for foraging this local color, mordant both cellulose and protein fibers for natural dyeing, and make a dye bath with your finds. Leave with your own buckthorn-dyed organic cotton tote and fabric swatches so that you can begin a natural dye swatch library for future reference. Perfect for beginners–no experience necessary! Materials fee of $25, payable to instructor.
