Add not just one, but two textile techniques to your toolbox. First, students will learn how to start and maintain a natural indigo vat. Then, experience shibori dyeing, an ancient Japanese resist dye technique that involves folding, binding, and clamping to create beautiful designs and patterns. Students will dye three silk scarves in a natural indigo vat. Students are also encouraged to bring a few items from home to dip in the vat. All levels of experience are welcome.
